New Book offers hard look at the realities of miscarriage

January 26 17:24 2021

It’s a new century, but many women are dealing with unspoken pain that’s still hard to put into the public discourse. A new book, “25%: One in four women”, seeks to open a dialogue about one of the hardest subjects — miscarriage. The book is an exploration of the topic as well as other issues women face today. Using the data and personal experience, author Erica Isotta fearlessly looks to bring change and acceptance.

The release will be available on 30th on most digital platforms. The 98-page work’s focus is driving home just how common miscarriage really is. The author shares the statistic that one in four women will experience such a loss in their lifetime. She breaks the silence by exploring the taboo around it and sharing the other related issues women sometimes deal with in silence. Other issues touched include PCOS, depression, and eating disorders. The latter two are especially timely, given current circumstances and their impact on mental health. Keep an eye on digital platforms to see the other topics touched upon.

Through sharing this information and its impact on feminism, Isotta hopes to help women question themselves in order to better interact with the world. In addition, the author has a podcast, Women Plot, where listeners can get a better idea of the author and her experiences.

Said one reader, “I am fond of the author I have been following since the beginning and once again she did not disappoint, quite the contrary. Her growth is noted, not only personally but also as an author. A beautiful, informative, true, necessary book. To anyone. I was moved.”

Besides that, the author has a site, womenplot.com. Its mission is to share women’s stories and connect them with others. There are podcast episodes, blogs about writing and editing, as well links to the others other works. This includes the English release, Take Me With You. That release is also available in Spanish, Italian, Portuguse and French. To learn more about her, her work, and the new release, please visit her website.
